Uganda Airlines will starting October 2021 begin flights to Dubai as part of its strategy to start long routes.
This comes weeks after the Uganda Airlines received the Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) for its two airbuses, the A330neo.
“The wait is finally over. Fly the crane to #Dubai at affordable rates starting October 2021,” the airline announced on its social media platforms.
Uganda Airlines is also set to expand its routes beyond London, Guangzhou, and Mumbai.
Currently, Uganda Airlines operates direct flights from its hub in Entebbe to and from Nairobi, Mombasa, Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, Kilimanjaro, Juba, Bujumbura, Mogadishu, Kinshasa and Johannesburg.
The national carrier operates a fleet of four CRJ 900 series in East and Central Africa and South Africa.
In August 2019, Uganda Airlines was re-launched after almost 20 years later, banking on passengers from the emerging oil and gas industry and tourism.
