Pearl Bank Uganda launches its "Pearl Santa" festive campaign from Dec. 9-23. The initiative celebrates customer loyalty following the bank's recent rebranding effort.
KAMPALA, Uganda — Pearl Bank, formerly PostBank Uganda, announced Friday the launch of a festive customer campaign called “Pearl Santa,” which will feature surprise visits from a costumed bank representative at select branches nationwide in the lead-up to Christmas.
The initiative aims to celebrate customers and share holiday cheer during the Christmas season.
“This festive season, we wanted to celebrate our customers in a way that is personal and meaningful,” Priscilla Akora, the bank’s head of marketing and communications, said. “Inviting our very own Pearl Santa into our branches is a fun, heartfelt way to thank our customers for their loyalty and to share the joy of the season with them.”
Akora noted that the campaign’s “Purple Santa” is aligned with the bank’s corporate identity, as purple is its primary color following its transition from PostBank.
“Therefore, the rebrand is more than a name change, it is a renewed promise to serve our customers better, and by welcoming Pearl Santa into our branches, we are putting a face to our appreciation as well as creating moments of human connection as well as lasting relationships with our customers,” Akora said.
Pearl Santa is scheduled to visit branches between Dec. 9 and Dec. 23 to interact with customers, share cake, and discuss the bank’s transition.
The Pearl Santa campaign is the first customer engagement effort under the bank’s new name. It underscores Pearl Bank’s goal of improving customer experience by building intentional, personal relationships.
Pearl Bank operates as a fully licensed commercial bank, owned 100 percent by the Government of Uganda, and is focused on driving sustainable financial inclusion and stimulating entrepreneurship and service across the country. It has a network of 59 branches and more than 8,000 agents nationwide.
