UAP Old Mutual Life Assurance honored its top-performing sales agents at an awards ceremony in Kampala. Justine Namugosa drove away with the grand prize, a Subaru, recognizing her exceptional performance.
KAMPALA, Uganda — UAP Old Mutual Life Assurance celebrated its highest-achieving sales agents at its 2024 Agency Awards ceremony in Kampala, recognizing their outstanding performance and dedication, the company said.
The event, held Saturday, March 29, 2025, at the Mestil Hotel, honored agents and managers with prizes ranging from household appliances to international trips and a grand prize vehicle.
The awards aimed to motivate and reward the sales force, whose efforts UAP Old Mutual credited with significant contributions to the company’s growth and client service across Uganda.

Justine Namugosa was named the top-performing agent of the year, receiving the grand prize of a Subaru. She also won a trip to Cape Town in the seasoned agents category.
Several other agents and managers were recognized for their performance. In the premium items category, winners of televisions and refrigerators included agents Rashid Kizito, Hanifah Nakalema, Hadijah Nakanwagi, Ruth Tumwijukye, Mary Kyendibaza, and Robert Mutebi. Managers Faridah Nazziwa and Margaret Nakakande, along with regional manager Edgar Katsigwa, also received awards.
Trips to Cape Town were awarded to seasoned agents Justine Namugosa and Anthony Kaguma (Team Manager), as well as new agents Zackius Tushabe, Thomas Kasirye, Ashiraf Ddumba, and Judith Namwogerere.

The Mombasa trip category winners included seasoned agents Leilah Kabugo, Mitchelle Mugyeni, and Judith Kakuze, along with team manager Sophie Luzinda. New agents who won the trip were Edrida Kabahuma, Lillian Kabazaarwe, Joanah Kagoya, and Charles Kadolya.
Patrick Kinoti Kimathi, Managing Director of UAP Old Mutual Life Assurance, praised the agents for their hard work and commitment.
“Tonight, we celebrate the passion, resilience, and commitment of our extraordinary sales force,” Kimathi said. “Each of you plays a pivotal role in shaping the success of UAP Old Mutual Life Assurance, and your dedication does not go unnoticed.”
Kimathi also reiterated the company’s commitment to supporting its agents’ professional development.
The awards ceremony concluded with agents expressing enthusiasm for the year ahead.
