KAMPALA – KCB Bank Uganda has unveiled a suite of tailored financial solutions designed to empower women entrepreneurs, bolstering its commitment to fostering an ecosystem where women-led enterprises can thrive.

The bank’s latest initiative, launched in partnership with Mkazipreneur, aims to bridge the gender gap in accessing financial services, providing women with the necessary tools and expertise to navigate the complexities of financial management, market penetration, and long-term business sustainability.

According to KCB Bank Uganda, the tailored financial solutions are designed to meet the unique needs of women entrepreneurs, offering flexible repayment terms, competitive interest rates, and access to business mentorship and training programs.

Miranda Bageine Musoke, KCB Bank Uganda’s Head of Retail Banking, emphasized the bank’s dedication to driving women’s economic empowerment through financial inclusion.

“We recognize the transformative power of financial inclusion in driving women’s economic empowerment,” Musoke said. “Our goal is to provide tailored financial solutions that meet the unique needs of women entrepreneurs, empowering them to grow and sustain their businesses.”

Amelia Kyambadde, Senior Presidential Advisor on Industry, commended KCB Bank Uganda and Mkazipreneur for their commitment to empowering women entrepreneurs.

“There is power in partnerships,” Kyambadde said. “To truly empower women in business, we must create avenues that help them navigate market dynamics locally and globally.”

Immy Nakyeyune, founder and leader of Mkazipreneur, highlighted the importance of dismantling systemic barriers that impede women’s access to capital and professional mentorship.

“By gathering here today, we aim to dismantle systemic barriers impeding women’s access to capital and professional mentorship,” Nakyeyune said. “Today we are here to not only celebrate the resilience and ingenuity of women entrepreneurs but also to equip them with data-driven insights, cutting-edge financial solutions, and a robust network to enhance their entrepreneurial journeys.”

The launch of the tailored financial solutions is part of KCB Bank Uganda’s broader strategy to support the growth and development of women-led enterprises, aligning with the bank’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 5 (Gender Equality) and SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).
