Treescape Planet, a non-governmental organisation championing environmental conservation and sustainability in Uganda, was among the big winners at the Uganda Marketing Excellence Awards (UMEAS) 2024.

The award was presented during a prestigious red-carpet gala at the Kampala Serena Hotel on 13th December 2024.

Bonnita Tukwatanise, the Program Coordinator of Treescape Planet Organization, said the award highlights their commitment to environmental conservation while empowering communities through sustainable practices.

 “This award is a recognition of our transformative work to promote sustainability while uplifting communities. It underscores our belief that environmental and social goals can coexist and thrive. We dedicate this win to our partners, supporters, and the communities we serve,” she said.

“The Growing Women/Greening Tourism campaign is a testament to the organization’s innovative approach to merging environmental stewardship with socio-economic development, particularly for women in tourism-dependent communities,” she added.

In addition to its UMEAS win, Treescape Planet Organization was shortlisted in the Environmental Social Enterprise Category at the Social Enterprise Awards Ceremony 2024, which took place on the same day at the Four Points by Sheraton, Kampala.

This category celebrates organizations that have demonstrated innovation and measurable impact in addressing environmental challenges through entrepreneurial solutions.

As part of this recognition, Treescape Planet joins a distinguished group of social enterprises at the forefront of sustainable development in Uganda and beyond.
