Overview:

Since Ngafuan's assumption of office in Uganda on 4th January,2021 five loans have been concluded with the Bank worth USD 768.32 million for projects including,Kampala-Jinja Expressway Project,Kampala City Roads Rehabilitation Project and Refurbishment of the Kampala-Malaba Meter Gauge Railway Project.

Finance Minister Matia Kasaija has bid farewell to the outgoing Country Manager of the African Development Bank Uganda Country Office, Mr.Augustine Kpehe Ngafuan, who has been appointed Minister of Finance and Development Planning of Liberia.

“During your tenure of office, the relationship between government and the Bank has been tremendously strengthened and we hope to see this continue to grow in the coming years,” said Kasaija during the farewell luncheon at Kampala Serena Hotel.

Minister Kasaija that Ngafuan and his technical team for the hospitality during his time of service in Uganda, adding that he now considers Uganda as his second home. He also applauded the Parish Development Model initiative, adding that he looks forward to promoting a similar initiative in Liberia to economically empower his people.
