KAMPALA, UGANDA – The National Lottery has announced the winners of its highly anticipated Jackpot Lotto draw, held on August 3, 2024.

In a ceremony held at the National Lottery headquarters, two lucky winners were unveiled as the recipients of the coveted jackpot prize.

Samuel Mbonimpa, a 30-year-old mason from Kyazanga, and Zeverio Namisi, a 27-year-old factory worker from Kawempe, were revealed as the winners of the UGX 1 billion jackpot. The two winners matched four of the six winning numbers, securing their places among the top winners.

Mbonimpa, who played using the USSD code *278#, will receive a share of the Division 5 prize of UGX 932,340,000. Namisi, who played at a Kenkom shop, won an impressive UGX 186 million with a wager of just UGX 9,000.

“We are thrilled to announce the winners of our Jackpot Lotto draw,” said Michelle Van Trotsenburg, Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs at the National Lottery. “This is a life-changing moment for our winners, and we are honored to be a part of it.”
