Absa Bank Uganda Limited has announced appointment of Musa Jallow, an experienced banker as new Retail Banking Director.
The bank said Musa’s appointment take immediate effect on 1st July 2021.
“We are delighted to announce the appointment of Musa Jallow as Retail Banking Director for Absa Bank Uganda Limited. Congratulations Musa!” Absa announced.
“Musa has a wealth of experience gained over a 23-year career in the banking industry. He joins Absa Bank Uganda from Absa Bank Mozambique, where he was the retail director and subsequently Head of Portfolio Banking,”
Jallow spans vast experience in retail banking, having worked in various banking positions across the continent.
Musa joins from Absa Bank Mozambique where he has been heading Retail Banking for a period of a year and nine months, since November 2019. Before that, he was Director, Customer Network since January 2017 at the bank.
Jallow also served at Standard Chartered Bank for 7 years, serving in different capacities in different countries. He joined as Head of Consumer Banking in Ghana in 2010.
He also served as Head of Consumer Banking in Tanzania for two years between 2011 until 2013.
Jallow holds a Master of Business Administration in Banking and Financial Management from Institute of Financial Management, Manchester Business School
He also attained Master of Arts in Economics from University of New Brunswick as well as a Bachelor of Science, Economics and Social Studies from Fourah Bay College.
