Plascon's 'Paint & Win' contest is concluding after rewarding 42 winners with cash, motorcycles, and Tuk Tuks across Uganda.
KAMPALA, Uganda — Plascon’s “Paint & Win” campaign, which features prizes the company values at approximately $430,000 in cash and goods, is nearing its conclusion across Uganda.
The 14th season of the promotion, themed “The Colours of Excitement,” is in its seventh week and has already produced 42 winners through live draws. Seven customers have won new motorcycles, and hundreds more have received instant rewards during activation events across Kampala and upcountry towns.
Plascon Managing Director Santosh Gumte said the initiative aims to provide support and uplift consumers.
“Every tin of Plascon paint is not just color on a wall,” Gumte said at the launch. “It is happiness, vibrancy and inspiration, an opportunity for our consumers to feel supported and uplifted in meaningful ways.”
For Edward Mubiru, a farmer in Lwengo, a simple paint purchase led to a win of 1.6 million Ugandan shillings. The prize eased financial pressure, allowing him to clear school fees and reinvest in his farm.
Gerald Mutabazi, a professional builder from Kyengera, also received a cash prize and a motorcycle. He said the motorcycle will help alleviate his daily transport challenges, and the cash will boost productivity on his small farm.
The promotion structure ensures six winners receive 1 million Ugandan shillings each day. These six then compete in a weekly live draw for a motorcycle. Those who do not win the motorcycle enter a second draw for the grand prize, a Tuk Tuk.
The campaign has covered regions from Masaka to Gulu. Irene Tushabe was awarded the first Tuk Tuk in Week 6, having previously won cash in a daily draw. The final grand prize, the second Tuk Tuk, is scheduled to be handed over in Week 10.
