DOHA, Qatar — The Second Edition of the Uganda–Qatar Business Forum is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, in Doha, according to an announcement from the Embassy of the Republic of Uganda in the State of Qatar.
The event, which will be held at the Rotana City Center, is themed “Uganda and Qatar in Partnership for Shared Economic Development.”
Building on the success of the first edition, the forum is expected to gather senior dignitaries, investors, business leaders and government officials from Uganda, Qatar and the wider Gulf region. They will explore new opportunities in trade, investment and tourism. The forum is being organized in partnership with KON W.L.L. as the strategic partner.
Dr. Stephen Chebrot, Uganda’s ambassador to Qatar, said the event highlights Uganda’s increasing engagement with Qatar through economic and commercial diplomacy.
“The Uganda–Qatar Business Forum provides a valuable platform for dialogue, networking and partnership,” Chebrot said. “Uganda welcomes Qatari investors to explore our country’s vast potential in agriculture, tourism, minerals, energy, manufacturing and ICT — key sectors driving Uganda’s transformation agenda.”
The one-day forum will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions and sectoral presentations from key Ugandan and Qatari institutions. These include the Uganda Investment Authority, the Uganda Free Zones and Export Promotion Authority, the Private Sector Foundation Uganda, the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Qatar Tourism.
Attendees will also participate in business-to-business networking sessions, cultural showcases and sector-specific dialogues focused on strengthening bilateral and private-sector cooperation between the two nations.
The forum is part of Uganda’s larger Economic and Commercial Diplomacy Programme, which aims to attract investment, promote exports and deepen partnerships for shared prosperity with its international partners.
