Roofing solutions giant Uganda Baati has announced the appointment of Ms. Jackie Tahakanizibwa as its new Head of Corporate and External Affairs.
The company described Ms. Tahakanizibwa as a “proven force in the corporate world,” bringing with her more than a decade of experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, and policy advocacy.
Prior to joining Uganda Baati, she held senior roles at Nation Media Group and Uganda Breweries, where she was instrumental in shaping policy and strengthening stakeholder networks. She most recently served as the Head of the Uganda Alcohol Industry Association, where she coordinated industry-wide efforts on responsible business and regulatory compliance.
Uganda Baati said Ms. Tahakanizibwa’s appointment reflects its commitment to building stronger stakeholder relations as it continues to expand its footprint in Uganda’s construction and building materials sector.
“Every strong roof needs strong people behind it. Jackie’s fresh energy and vision will make our team even stronger,” the company said in a statement.
Her new role will see her drive the company’s corporate affairs agenda, deepen government and industry relations, and support Uganda Baati’s brand positioning in a competitive market.
