Uganda Baati appoints seasoned marketing expert Timothy Luzinda as its new Marketing Manager.

KAMPALA, Uganda — Timothy Luzinda has been appointed as the new Marketing Manager for Uganda Baati Limited, a leading manufacturer of roofing and building solutions. His appointment is effective in August 2025.

Luzinda brings more than 18 years of experience in marketing, brand management, and commercial leadership, primarily from the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry. He most recently served as Head of Marketing at Crown Beverages Limited (CBL), the PepsiCo franchise in Uganda, from 2008 to 2023.

During his tenure at CBL, Luzinda led successful campaigns and new product launches, including Mountain Dew, Sting Energy Drink, and Aquafina Water. He also played a key role in repositioning Pepsi Cola in the Ugandan market and spearheaded the “Forever Connected” returnable glass bottle initiative, which generated UGX 21 billion in revenue.

Before joining Uganda Baati, Luzinda worked as a Sales and Marketing Consultant at Wavah Water Limited, where he conducted a business system audit and introduced new distribution channels. He began his career in advertising, managing campaigns for prominent clients like Celtel Uganda and Uganda Breweries Limited.

Luzinda holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Makerere University and is a certified member of the Uganda Marketers Society.

At Uganda Baati, Luzinda is expected to strengthen the company’s marketing strategy, accelerate customer engagement, and deepen its market leadership. The company stated that his appointment signals a continued investment in marketing as a strategic pillar for future success.
