KAMPALA, Uganda — Top executives are slated to speak at a personal branding masterclass in Kampala on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2025.
The “Building a Personal Brand That Works as Hard as You Do” masterclass, organized by communications strategist and personal branding researcher Lyn Tukei, will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Protea Skyz Hotel, Naguru.
“Many professionals spend years doing the work, but very little time telling the story,” said Tukei, who is also the founder of ‘Brand Help,’ a strategic think tank dedicated to elevating personal brands. “This masterclass is designed to help executives take control of their narrative, position themselves as trusted voices in their industry, and align their presence with their organization’s reputation.”

Dr. Paul Kasenene, founder of Dr. Kasenene, will discuss using an online personal brand to drive organizational perception and growth.
Josephine Okui Ossiya, CEO of Capital Markets Authority and Board Member of the Bank of Uganda, will speak about “Journey to the Boardroom and C-Suite Using Personal Branding.”
Other speakers include Jackie Tahakanizibwa, Shamim Walusimbi, Connie Nankya, Sumin Namaganda, and Pepe Minambo. They will share insights on how branding, visibility, and authenticity can shape leadership growth.
Attendees will also participate in an interactive session focused on amplifying their presence and influence.
The event is open to CEOs, senior executives, founders, mid-level managers, officers, and emerging leaders across industries. The investment is 200,000 Ugandan shillings.
Lyn Tukei is a distinguished strategic communications and public relations practitioner with a decade of experience. She is the Manager of Communications and Public Relations at the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) of Uganda and serves as Deputy Secretary General at the Public Relations Association of Uganda (PRAU).
Tukei holds a Master’s in Corporate and Strategic Communication from Makerere University and a postgraduate certificate in Media Studies from Oslo Metropolitan University. Her recent research explores how a cultivated executive online presence shapes public perception and catalyzes business growth.
Tukei’s expertise has earned her the Tebere-Mudin Award (2018) by Monitor Publications, the 2023 Young Communicator of the Year Award by PRAU, and recognition among Propel USA’s Top 100 Most Influential Fintech PR Professionals globally in 2023.
