President Yoweri Museveni attends Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, joining global leaders to address sustainability challenges.

Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni has arrived in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to attend the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), a global platform tackling the world’s most pressing sustainability challenges.

The ADSW, now in its 15th year, brings together global leaders to address sustainability challenges and promote innovative solutions.

This year’s event is expected to focus on climate action, energy transition, and sustainable development.

Uganda’s participation in the ADSW comes as the country seeks to strengthen its trade ties with the UAE.

The UAE has emerged as a vital market for Ugandan exports, with trade between the two nations valued at billions of dollars.

The UAE is also a key source of foreign direct investments in Uganda, with investments in sectors such as manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, healthcare, and agribusiness.

President Museveni’s visit to Abu Dhabi is expected to further boost trade and investment between the two nations.

The Ugandan leader is scheduled to meet with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to discuss bilateral and mutual interests.

The UAE has been investing heavily in Uganda, with several UAE companies operating in the country.

The Ugandan government has been keen to attract more foreign investment, particularly in sectors such as agriculture and manufacturing.

Uganda is expected to showcase its investment opportunities and promote trade with the UAE and other participating nations.
