MTN Uganda, through its philanthropic arm MTN Foundation, has donated 10 computers to Tunaweza Foundation, a non-governmental organization, as part of its Digital Access Program.
This initiative aims to enhance digital literacy and inclusion, particularly among underserved communities and individuals with disabilities.
The support, valued at UGX 65 million, includes one year of free internet access and backup inverter systems. This donation is part of MTN Uganda’s broader effort to bridge the digital divide and provide essential tools for success in the digital age.
“Access to technology is no longer a luxury but a necessity,” said Augustine Lule, MTN Central Region Business Manager, during the handover event. “We are committed to ensuring that every Ugandan, regardless of their background or abilities, benefits from a modern connected life.”

Ellen Masi, U.S. Mission’s Public Affairs Counselor, also praised MTN Uganda’s contribution to digital inclusion. “Technology is integral to everything we do, from education to employment. By providing access to this computer lab, we are ensuring that children and youth have the tools they need to excel in the digital era,” she said.
This initiative aligns with MTN Uganda’s Ambition 2025 Strategy, supporting Uganda’s Vision 2040, National Development Plan III, and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). MTN Uganda has established over 42 ICT labs in educational institutions, vocational centers, and prisons, often in partnership with organizations like Enabel.
