Bryan Mbasa, the Senior Manager at MTN Foundation, said MTN Foundation is committed to empowering the lives of the people in the areas in which they operate.
MTN Foundation, the development arm of MTN Uganda, has handed over a new fully equipped classroom block worth Shs202 million to PEAS Horizon High School in Luweero District.
The project was implemented through Promoting Equality in African Schools (PEAS), a non-government organisation dedicated to improving access to quality education countrywide.
Speaking at the function on Thursday, 13 April 2023, the head teacher at Horizon High School, Kizito Steven, commended MTN Foundation for making a difference through their compassion and generosity by donating a brand new classroom block.
He said the new MTN block is dedicated to the Senior One class that has a total of 215 learners.

Daniel Omala, Head of the 30 PEAS schools countrywide, and Henry Senkasi, Country Director PEAS Uganda, also commended MTN for their contribution to education.

“We strongly believe that with this new three-classroom block fully equipped with desks and a water tank and electricity, the school will expand educational access more new learners, facilitate better instruction, improve student outcomes, and reduce dropout rates, among other benefits,” he said.
