Micheal Longole, the Karamoja regional Police spokesperson said joint forces are already on the ground trucking for the thugs.

KOTIDO: A local gas station was robbed at gunpoint late Friday in Kotido Municipality, police have said.

It happened right around 8PM on Friday, December 23 at Jpac Petrol Station, according to reports.

The gunmen who were reportedly wearing UPDF uniform and armed with one AK47 gun attacked the Petrol station and robbed up to UGX. 2 million.

Toney Oyugi, the Station manager told reporters that the thugs put him at a gun point before ordering him to sit down.

“They removed all the money amounting to Shs 2million and took my phones,” he said.

He said the thugs were putting on army uniforms.

Ambrose Onoria, the Resident District Commissioner Kotido confirmed the incident describing it as unfortunate.

He said he has directed the Police and the army to trace the thugs and arrest them. “These are just thugs and we shall get them,” he said.
