Rockshore Tropical Lager was unveiled under UBL’s innovations arm, which has brought forth products like Uganda Waragi Pineapple and Coconut, Baileys Delight, Gordon’s Pink, and TuskerCider.

Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) has expressed confidence that their latest flavoured beer brand, Rockshore Tropical Lager, fits the changing customer needs and preferences and will transform the consumption of beer in the country.

According to Simon Patrick Lapyem, the Innovations Manager at Uganda Breweries Limited, most people have stopped taking beer because its taste has become the same, something that Rockshore is changing.

“So many people out there, men and women, don’t like beer. They find beer too boring, too stale, and too old but Rockshore is actually a flavoured beer. We have passion fruit and pineapple infused inside,” Lapyem said in an interview recently.

“It’s a flavoured beer and we are encouraging consumers to rock that flavour. The other beers are unflavoured, they are typical lagers but Rockshore Tropical has pineapple, and passion fruit, it smells great and it looks great. Which other beer do you know looks like this?” he wondered.

The beer has an Alcohol by Volume (ABV) of 4.2% and is available at supermarkets, distributors, stockists; and different bars around the country at the recommended retail price of UGX 4,500 (US$1.22), as well as e-commerce platforms like Jumia and Kikuubo Online.
