Nile Breweries Limited (NBL), the manufacturers of Nile Special and other brands, has introduced a business app to enable wholesalers/retailers browse its products, place orders, access deals and arrange deliveries.
David Valencia, the Managing Director of NBL, said the NBL Bees App, is going to help their customers thrive.
“NBL Bees App isn’t an app that will be used by the end consumer. Rather it is an application that is to be used with our partners. These are retailers, stockists, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, ddukas. We want to empower you to grow your business,” Valencia said during the launch in Kampala on Thursday, 23 June 2022.
“Everything that you’ll see in the app has been created for the customers. We want you to feel empowered. You don’t have to wait for a sales representative or customer interaction center to call you to place an order. We’re giving you the power 24/7, 365 days a year,” he added.
Brian Murray, Global Director for Digital Transformation at NBL said: “Bees is an e-commerce platform globally in 18 countries. With 4 million users. And it’s the number 7 e-commerce platform in the world.”
In 2001 it was acquired by SABMiller plc. Today NBL is a proud part of the ABInBev family after the successful completion of the business combination with SABMiller plc in 2016. The company prides itself in 2 breweries, located in Jinja and Mbarara, plus 1 Malting plant located in Jinja.
