The week-long campaign, running from October 27 to 31, 2025, aims to empower Ugandans with the knowledge and tools to transition from traditional saving practices to tech-enabled investment strategies.
The initiative will feature a series of activities designed to engage and educate the public—including a Twitter/X Space discussion, SACCO engagement sessions, and an Investor Roadshow outreach. These events will provide insights into how individuals and groups can participate in Uganda’s growing capital markets and harness digital innovations for long-term financial growth.
This year’s campaign emphasizes the transformative power of technology in investment, showcasing digital platforms such as the USE Easy Portal, Unit Trust apps, and online trading systems that have simplified access to investment opportunities.
Speaking at the launch, Ms. Josephine Okui Ossiya, CEO of the Capital Markets Authority, reaffirmed CMA’s commitment to promoting innovation and financial inclusion through initiatives like the Regulatory Sandbox. “We are working to ensure Uganda’s capital markets become more inclusive, innovative, efficient, and transparent—empowering every Ugandan to build a stronger financial future,” she said.
World Investor Week 2025 marks a pivotal moment in Uganda’s financial literacy journey, inspiring citizens to embrace technology not just as a convenience, but as a gateway to smarter, more sustainable investment choices.
