President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on Wednesday afternoon held a consultative meeting with a delegation from Kiira Motors Corporation at State House Entebbe.
The meeting aimed to discuss the progress of the Kayoola buses and explore opportunities for regional market expansion.
Led by Dr. Monica Musenero, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, the delegation briefed the President on the advancements made with the Kayoola buses. The discussions focused on collaboration strategies to enhance the positioning of the buses for the regional market.
According to Paul Isaac Musasizi, CEO of Kiira Motors Corporation, the buses have undergone successful testing in the market and received positive feedback from clients regarding their efficiency. He highlighted that the buses have collectively travelled over 600,000 kilometres on routes in Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania without any issues, showcasing the corporation’s dedication to providing high-quality products for the market.
President Museveni reiterated his steadfast support for Kiira Motors Corporation, commending the team for their hard work and dedication to producing quality buses.
