Overview:

Aurionpro’s upgraded iCashpro platform for DTB delivers a unified digital experience across payments, trade, virtual accounts, and real-time reporting, enhancing straight-through processing, visibility, and control for both the bank and its corporate customers

Global technology firm Aurionpro Solutions is expanding its presence in the Ugandan market through a strategic partnership with Diamond Trust Bank to modernize corporate banking services. The move follows the launch of the company’s AI-native trade finance platform, which is designed to automate manual workflows for financial institutions.

The expanded engagement focuses on upgrading DTB’s transaction banking capabilities across Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania using the iCashpro platform. The system provides a unified digital experience for payments, virtual accounts and real-time reporting, allowing the bank to scale its operations while ensuring consistent service levels across the region.

Murali Natarajan, the managing director and CEO of DTB Kenya, said the upgrade strengthens the bank’s transaction banking capabilities and aligns with its digital-first strategy for corporate customers.

Aurionpro group CEO Ashish Rai said the partnership supports the next phase of banking modernization. He noted that the new AI-native foundations are intended to replace legacy systems rather than simply adding features to them.

The company’s new trade finance platform, Fintra, uses AI agents to automate tasks such as reading shipping documents, running compliance checks and scoring risk. These agents are overseen by bankers, allowing the system to learn from human decisions while creating an audit trail for regulators.

Aurionpro, which is listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange of India, has more than 3,000 experts globally. The firm aims to leverage its deep-tech expertise to set new standards for AI innovation in the African banking sector.
