Overview:

The divestment includes high-traffic sites at Clock Tower and South Street, available for continued retail or commercial use.

KAMPALA, Uganda — Vivo Energy Uganda is soliciting sealed bids for the purchase of two of its most prominent Shell-branded service stations in the capital city, according to a recent company announcement.

The divestment includes the Shell Clock Tower and Shell South Street service stations. Both properties are situated in high-traffic commercial hubs and are being offered on an as-is, where-is basis.

The Shell Clock Tower property sits on approximately 0.26 acres of leasehold land in the Kampala Central Business District along Entebbe Road. The second site, Shell South Street, occupies roughly 0.247 acres of freehold land positioned opposite the Old Taxi Park.

While currently functioning as operational fuel stations with storage tanks, dispensing pumps and service bays, the company noted the sites are suited for continued automotive retail or broader commercial redevelopment.

Interested parties must submit a 5 percent commitment fee as a 30-day bank guarantee with their purchase offer. All bids must be submitted exclusive of VAT.

The deadline for submission is Monday, March 30, 2026. Bids must be delivered to the Vivo Energy Uganda offices in the Industrial Area.

The company stated that it reserves the right to accept or reject any bid at its discretion and will conduct property inspections by appointment only.
