The National Social Security Fund (NSSF) has earned international recognition for two of its flagship initiatives at the 2025 World Social Security Forum (WSSF).
The Hi-Innovator Women Accelerator Program won the Short Videos Category, while the NSSF Career Expo was commended for its excellence and impact.
The programmes competed with peers from Belgium, China, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Singapore, standing out for their innovative approaches and measurable contributions to social and economic development.
In a statement, NSSF hailed the achievement as a reflection of its ongoing commitment to empowering communities, nurturing innovation, and creating opportunities for Ugandans. “This recognition is a testament to the dedication of our team and partners in driving initiatives that make a real difference in people’s lives,” the Fund said.
The Hi-Innovator Women Accelerator Program focuses on supporting women entrepreneurs, helping them scale their businesses through mentorship, training, and access to resources. Meanwhile, the NSSF Career Expo provides a platform for young Ugandans to explore career opportunities, acquire skills, and connect with potential employers.
“This milestone demonstrates that Uganda’s programmes can compete and excel on a global stage, inspiring innovation and creating meaningful impact,” NSSF added, thanking all stakeholders who contributed to the success of the initiatives.
