Airtel Uganda Limited declares interim dividend of UGX 83 billion, benefiting shareholders with a payout rate of UGX 2.075 per share.

KAMPALA, UGANDA – Airtel Uganda Limited has announced an interim dividend payout of 83 billion Ugandan shillings ($22m) to its shareholders.

The payout, approved by the company’s board of directors, was announced by Company Secretary Dennis A. Kakonge.

“The dividend will be paid at a rate of 2.075 Ugandan shillings per share,” Mr Kakonge said in a statement.

The dividend will be paid electronically, net of withholding tax, to all shareholders as of 16 December, Mr Kakonge added.

The payout is expected to be completed by 3 January 2025.

Airtel Uganda Limited is a public limited liability company incorporated in Uganda and regulated by the Uganda Communications Commission.

The company is listed on the Uganda Securities Exchange.
