PostBank Uganda, a fully government-owned financial institution, has successfully navigated a comprehensive transformation journey, catapulting it to the forefront of Uganda’s banking sector.
Under the visionary leadership of Managing Director Julius Kakeeto, the bank has achieved remarkable growth and innovation since 2019. Key milestones include expanding its branch network from 44 to 57 branches nationwide, launching the Wendi Mobile Wallet, which serves over 1.4 million customers and 9,900 SACCOs, and introducing a self-onboarding ZeroFlex digital account.
The bank has also enhanced digital banking services, with 80% of transactions now occurring outside banking halls. Additionally, customer deposits have doubled to UGX 789.6 billion and loans to UGX 602.5 billion.
PostBank’s financial performance has been impressive, with robust profit growth and net profit increasing by 227.4% to UGX 27.5 billion. The bank’s return on equity has also improved from 9.7% to 16.8%.

Total Revenue stands at UGX 207.6 billion, representing a 30.3% year-on-year growth.
Customer Deposits have reached UGX 789.8 billion, reflecting a 14.6% year-on-year growth.
Loans and Advances have increased to UGX 602.5 billion, representing a 25.7% year-on-year growth.
Total Assets have grown to UGX 1,070.7 billion, marking a 13.5% year-on-year growth.
Net Profit has surged to UGX 27.5 billion, representing an 80.9% year-on-year growth.
