Kampala, Uganda – Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Oryem Henry Okello, and Secretary General of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), Chileshe Mpundu Kapwewe, held a productive bilateral meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Headquarters in Kampala on Wednesday. The meeting focused on the upcoming 22nd COMESA Heads of State and Government summit, scheduled for later this year, and explored ways to enhance collaboration and synergy in advancing regional cooperation and development.

The discussions centered on the successful organization and execution of the summit, as well as the various programs and initiatives implemented by COMESA. Minister Oryem and Kapwewe engaged in constructive dialogue aimed at ensuring the successful organization and execution of this significant gathering, which holds profound implications for regional cooperation and development within the COMESA framework.
