The Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development has bid farewell to former Director of Budget Kenneth Mugambe who retired from the civil service effective 1st January 2022
Mugambe, who has gone into early retirement to pursue his PhD studies, has served for about 30 years rising through the ranks from economist to Director Budget.
Finance minister Matia Kasaija and Secretary to the Treasury Ramathan Ggoobi at the farewell function in Kampala on Friday applauded Mugambe for his exceptional performance while still at the ministry. They all wished him success in his studies and in the life ahead.
Last week, the ministry also bid farewell to the former head of the Private Sector Development Unit, Dr.Peter Ngategize, who has also retired.
The Executive Director of the Civil Society Budget Advocacy Group (CSBAG), Mr Julius Mukunda, presented an appreciation message to Mugambe for providing them with platforms to engage in the budget process in Uganda.
Mugambe has 14 years working experience in planning, public expenditure management, public sector budgeting, macroeconomic management and public administration
